Dr. Justin Starnes is inherently Floridian. He grew up in Merritt Island, a small beach community and home of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. It was there that he discovered his love for the outdoors, spending much of his time surfing, kayaking, fishing, and scuba diving. He developed a passion for helping animals early on, and decided on a career in veterinary medicine at age five.
Dr. Starnes attended the University of Florida for both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees – GO GATORS! His interests in veterinary medicine include preventative medicine, surgery, ultrasonography, and exotic pets. Dr. Starnes proposed to his wife, Dr. Carly Starnes (also a veterinarian), on a trip to the Colorado Rockies in 2013, and the mountains have been calling ever since! When not caring for pets, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their rescued pointer-hound mix, Tucker. He loves hiking, paddle-boarding, skiing, and cooking. Dr. Starnes is excited to play a role in your and your beloved pets’ lives!
