Dr. April Larson grew up in the small town of Port Orange, Florida and like many other veterinarians, discovered her love of helping animals early on. She has always loved to travel around the world. From the Southern Alps of New Zealand to the highlands of Scotland, the mountains have always called to her. Dr. Larson attended the University of Florida and earned bachelor degrees in Anthropology and Biology, going on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She will always be a Gator at heart!
Dr. Larson completed a one year small animal medicine, emergency, and surgery internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, Florida before moving to the beautiful Rockies. Her interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, hospice care, and ultrasonography among others. During her free time she enjoys exploring the Colorado outdoors with her dingo look-alike, Darcy. She loves hiking, kayaking, and is learning to ski. Dr. Larson is thrilled to become a part of your community and pets’ lives!
