PCAC Giving Tree – Help Us Give Back

The staff at PCAC considers ourselves very fortunate that we are able to help pets and their families everyday. We also know that the holidays are a great time to give back even more to our community. This season we are asking for your help as PCAC gives and collects donations for 2 wonderful charities, Animal Haus and the Children’s Hospital Colorado. Now through December 20th we will have Christmas trees set up with very special ornaments. On each ornament will be an necessary item that these projects are requesting. Grab and ornament and bring it back with your donation by December 20th.

Animal Haus…www.animalhaus.org

Their mission…To prevent pet homelessness by temporarily providing basic necessities to pets and their owners to support the human/animal bond.

Animal Haus is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Their goal is to help families and pets by giving them temporary assistance that will allow the pets to stay in their homes rather than being relinquished to shelters.

Much of their needs consist of unopened pet food but they will also distribute dog and cat treats, clean bedding, litter, and new or gently used pet collars and leashes.

Children’s Hospital Colorado…www.childrenscolorado.org

Their mission… To improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy.

“In addition to providing the best possible care for kids who need it, we also work hard to keep kids out of the hospital. Through medical research and advocacy efforts, we are working towards a world where kids are safer and healthier and will one day have less need for a hospital.

As a private, not-for-profit pediatric healthcare network, Children’s Hospital Colorado is 100% dedicated to caring for kids at all ages and stages of growth. We have more than 3,000 pediatric specialists and more than 5,000 full-time employees helping to carry out our mission.”

Children’s Hospital collects new, unopened items to use in hospital and distribute among their patients. Items in need include:

  • Xbox 360 games (that do not require the Kinect sensor and do not have an “M” rating) – highly needed
  • Crayons (4-8 crayons per pack) – highly needed
