Common Poisons and Toxins

It’s an all too common story…You get home from work and the bag of grapes/pan of brownies/bowl of rising bread dough you left on the counter is destroyed on the floor and the contents are missing. Your 65 pound lab wags its tail excitedly as he licks his chocolate covered lips and expects to hear “good boy”! Dogs and cats never cease to surprise us with the things they will eat. It’s up to us to make sure that anything poisonous or toxic to our pets is kept out of their reach, whether or not you think they might eat it.

If you believe your pet has ingested any of these items in ANY amount, call us (or poison control) to determine the toxicity and what medical care is needed.
