Our beautiful hospital is located southeast of Denver, in the heart of the town of Parker, Colorado.  We are on Parker Road south of highway 470 and north of O’Brien Park. As a general practice seeing dogs, cats, and small exotic pets , we see get to see a variety of cases including wellness, illness, surgical, and dental care, and second opinions. We have an outstanding team and pride ourselves on taking excellent care of our clients and their pets. We have a lot of fun working together in this fast-paced environment. All positions listed are full-time.

Veterinary Technician full-time ** Currently Hiring ** 

Veterinary Technicians are Important at PCAC.  We admire and value the skills of our technicians.
They direct the day and set much of the tone of the hospital.  Vet techs are the first to triage and the first to comfort.

Veterinary technicians at PCAC work in rooms assisting doctors by taking histories, writing records (SOAP’s), obtaining samples, and educating clients;  in treatment restraining dogs, cats, and small exotic pets, taking radiographs, drawing blood and other samples and obtaining and screening results, placing bandages and caring for wounds, taking radiographs, and more; in surgery placing catheters, calculating medications, monitoring anesthesia, and preparing for and assisting with surgery; in recovery caring for anesthetized and recovering patients; and in dentistry performing dental cleanings, radiographs, and monitoring under anesthesia.

Skills and Responsibilities:
• Calculating medication dosages
• Positioning for radiographs
• Preparing and reading cytologies
• Monitoring anesthesia
• Appropriate dog and cat restraint
• Client communication
• Multi-tasking (prioritizing, handling more than one case at a time)
• Additional skills, including a healthy sense of humor, are welcome and will be valued and utilized.

Requirements:
• Ability to work 4 ten hour shifts per week.
• Availability to work between 6:30am and 6:30pm Monday-Friday, and Saturdays 7:30am to 3pm.
• Current CVT certification and skills above, or applicable experience and skills above.
• Desire to continue learning.
• Consent to background check and drug screen.

Licensed or Certified CVT’s with excellent technical skills, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, should expect to earn in the range of $15-$23/hr depending on experience, efficiency, leadership/communication skills, and more.

Receptionist full-time –

We value our Receptionists at PCAC.  They create the first and last impression for every client.   They are thoughtful and caring, and always put the clients first.

Veterinary receptionists at PCAC answer phones, respond to email, schedule appointments, set up files, greet clients, check clients out, and balance the money each day.  They weigh and check in pets, clean up accidents, and clean and sterilize the exam rooms between patients.  Receptionists fill prescriptions, answer basic pet health questions, make recommendations based on our standards or the doctor’s notes, and are responsible for maintaining an accurate medical record.  No matter how busy, they maintain a positive, cheerful attitude, and are enthusiastic for the work we do.

Skills and Responsibilities:
• Client communication and people skills
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats
• Money handling, calculating change
• Computer savvy
• Compassion & Empathy (especially with financial concerns and euthanasia)
• Multi-tasking (prioritizing and handling multiple questions, clients, and tasks without getting flustered)
• Foresight to anticipate clients’ needs
• Additional skills, including a healthy sense of humor, are welcome and will be valued and utilized.

Requirements:
• Ability to work 4 ten hour shifts per week.
• Availability to work between 6:30am and 6:30pm Monday-Friday, and some Saturdays 7:30am to 3pm.
• Ability to carry 40lb bag of dog food to a client’s car
• Capable of standing most the day
• Desire to continue learning.
• Consent to background check and drug screen.
