Microchip – permanent identification using a small identifying chip inserted under the skin. Discounted in both Top Dog and Puppy Package.

Spay or Neuter – using a laser instead of a scalpel blade, reduces your dog’s chance of cancers, behavioral issues, and prevents unwanted pregnancies. Included in our Top Dog Puppy Package.

Puppy Class

Early learning for pets – and their people! This class is tailored for puppies 2.5 – 5 months old.

With small class sizes of about 6 puppies, you will get hands-on attention at each class. All breeds are welcome so your puppy will get to interact with other puppies of all different sizes, decreasing the chance for fearful behaviors. The entire family is not only welcome, but encouraged to join including children 6 years or older. Only PAWsitive Approach training methods are used meaning no harsh consequences.
In the 4 weeks of class your puppy will learn socialization skills with other dogs and people (crucial for not becoming fearful or aggressive), manners and good behavior, and simple basic obedience. You will go home each week with homework to work on with your puppy and additional skills to learn at home. Your puppy will also learn to love coming to the veterinary office. With such happy memories of playing and learning, your puppy will learn that great experiences can happen at the vet!
You will learn how to become your puppy’s leader (not master), how to take care of your dog’s basic needs and health requirements, proven methods for crate training and potty training, and how to handle problem behaviors.
Classes are held once a week for 4 weeks and new classes start each month! Please call for availability.

To sign up for a class, please call 303-841-8833 for availability. Classes are $100 for the 4 week course and tuition is due at time of enrollment. If you have already signed up for our Top Dog Puppy Package, then this class is included!

Dogs must be current with their age appropriate vaccinations including at least one Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination no less than 1 week before class.
Your puppy will be learning positive conditioning so small, pea-sized treats are necessary. We recommend small pieces of chicken, cheese, Cheerios, or small training treats. Make sure your puppy is on a 6-foot nylon leash. Please do not use retractable leashes for class.

Please call 303-841-8833 to schedule a behavioral consult with one of our veterinarians if you are seeing concerning behaviors before your puppy has started training classes.
