Brianna

Registered Veterinary Technician

A Colorado native, Brianna grew up in Parker. Starting from age 7 her goal was to work with animals in some way. She worked on her friend’s farm riding horses and playing with their dogs and cats during the summer in rural Alamosa. She grew up with two cats and one shih-tzu. Throughout the years she went through many different career options and fell in love with the animal medical field.

After 2 years of studies she received her Associates in Animal Sciences. With great enthusiasm she started working for Parker Center Animal Clinic in 2020. While working she took her national exam and became a certified veterinary technician. She started teaching puppy class during that time, helping with manners training. Her favorite animals to work with are the cats; the spicier the better in her opinion. Her goal is to work her way into animal behavior. In order to learn better ways to help calm the stressed or nervous.

Outside of work she loves to spend all her time outdoors, be it on the many hiking trails and running trails Colorado has to offer, or hanging out while playing video games. She can also be found playing with her two adorable kitties, Digger and Arrow, which she has fun training and teaching tricks to. Dog’s aren’t the only ones who love learning new tricks!

Melissa

Registered Veterinary Technician

Melissa was born in Connecticut but moved to Colorado when she was only 10 months old. She was raised near Parker and continues to live there now. Growing up with dogs, Melissa always knew that she wanted to work with animals when she grew up. At the age of eight, she proudly proclaimed that she wanted to be a veterinarian to “help animals feel better”. After starting at Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology, Melissa fell in love with the technician side of veterinary medicine. She enjoyed gaining more hands-on interaction with and love from the patients. Two years later she received her Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Melissa joined the field of veterinary medicine in September of 2017 and has been enjoying every moment since. Her favorite aspect of the field is getting to see patients consistently. Being able to see a sick patient get better, or a puppy grows into an adult and be part of that cycle brings satisfaction in both her life and career. She also really enjoys looking at samples in the lab and running anesthesia during dental procedures.

When not at the clinic, Melissa can be found in the loving company of her Cardigan Welsh Corgi Sven and black cat Binx. These two constantly keep Melissa on her toes by going for walks twice a day. Watching movies is another major pastime for all three of them. They enjoy a great popcorn marathon ranging from Marvel to crime documentaries and all things in between. Don’t test her Disney trivia, cause you may lose!

Jillian

Practice Manager

Jillian’s life with Parker Center Animal Clinic began before she was even old enough to work. Since the 1990’s her family has brought their cats to PCAC. The care and attention they received sparked her passion for animal care, though back then it was mostly her chasing them around the house in an attempt to cuddle them.

Although veterinary school was something she considered for many years, her desire to start a career with animals had her exploring different ways to get into the field. After graduating with a BS in Zoology from Colorado State University in 2006, Jillian began working at Parker Center Animal Clinic as a technician assistant. Through the years her role has changed and grown with her. Now, as Practice Manager, Jillian has the opportunity to help others fuel their passion for working with animals. Developing others into leaders who are proud and confident is what she enjoys most about her career, only outshined by the kittens she now gets to cuddle without having to chase them.

Outside of work, Jillian enjoys soaking up as much sun as possible, reading, and shopping. She enjoys spending time traveling around the state and the country with her daughter Madelaina.
